Intro to Spinning
When: Sundays, 3:00-4:30pm (four 90-minute sessions)
Where: LibertyTown Arts Workshop, Studio 21
Donation: $150 +$5.73 (fees) = $155.73

Materials
Starter fiber is included. You may also bring your own fiber.
Bring your own wheel if you have one, or try one of the class wheels/spindles to practice on (availability may vary). Wheels/spindles may include: Ashford Kiwi, Louet Traveller, Ashford Traditional, Pocketwheel, Hansen Mini-spinner, Electric Eel Wheel 6.0, Fricke, drop spindles, and supported spindles.
What We’ll Cover
Fiber basics and preparation (roving, batts, rolags, top, and more)
Drafting techniques (short draw, long draw, park and draft)
Plying (2-ply, 3+ ply, and chain/Navajo plying)
Wheels vs spindles, and how different wheel systems work
Finishing your yarn (skeining, setting twist, and storage)
