Guild Groups:

Circular Sock Knitters Crank-In: Fourth Saturday of each month, 1:00–4:00 in the Guild studio.

(AKA Fredericksburg Area Sock Techies, or FAST)

Knitting group: Fridays, 1:00–3:00 in the Guild studio

Sock Knitting group: Mondays at noon in the Guild studio.

Weavers Studio: Thursdays, 11:00–5:00 in the Guild studio

Jane Study Group (weaving): 1st and 3rd Monday via Zoom. Each member subscribes to the Jane

Stafford School of Weaving and the group goes through the course together. Contact Margaret Campbell

for more information. (This replaces the Sunday weaver’s group.)

Craft & Chat: Third Tuesday of each month, 7:00–9:00 pm on Zoom. All types of fiber arts are

welcome. see newsletters or members portal for zoom link.

Guild Lessons and Classes:

The Introduction to Yarn Spinning class meets in the Guild studio on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 pm to

4:30 pm. Spinners are welcome to hang out and spin during the class.

Rigid Heddle Weaving Classes:

Fran is not offering Rigid Heddle Weaving Lessons for the time being.

Weaving Classes (harness looms):

Linda George is offering two types of weaving classes using floor looms: Project-in-a-Day (ages 14-adult)

and Beginning Weaving Lessons (ages 16-adult).

Project-in-a-Day: the loom will be warped and ready to weave. You choose a scarf, small table

runner or kitchen towel and have a complete project at the end of the day (about 4 hours) – $60.

Beginning Weaving Lessons: Learn to weave on a small floor loom. This class will cover the

basics of weaving: calculating the amount of yarn needed for a project, warping (or threading the

loom), weaving the project, and finishing techniques. You will weave two projects – a scarf in wool

and a small table runner or kitchen towel in cotton. Loom rental and materials are included.

Individual or small group instruction. Approximately 5 – five hour sessions – $225.
