Celebrating 40+ Years of Fiber Arts in Fredericksburg, Virginia
The Fredericksburg Spinners and Weavers Guild, FSWG for short, is a collection of artists exploring different genres of fiber arts from weaving, spinning, and knitting, to felting, tatting, and nearly everything in between. We are a laid-back group, but our main focus is educating the public and each other about the techniques used in different fiber art forms and traditions from around the world. Based in historic downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia, the FSWG serves the communities of Culpepper, Orange, Spotsylvania, Stafford, King George, and Prince William counties in Virginia. We would like to extend an invitation to anyone in Southern Maryland, Richmond, Northern Virginia and beyond to also consider making FSWG their home guild. Our capability to meet virtually allows us to serve members who live outside the local area.
The FSWG maintains a membership in the Mid-Atlantic Fiber Association (MAFA) as well as the Handweavers Guild of America (HGA). These memberships, along with our extensive library collection and subscription services allow members access to a wide range of educational resources and knowledge. If you would like more information on the guild, please use the CONTACT US page. If you are interested in becoming a member, GREAT! Please use the Join Us – Become a Member link at the top of the page to submit your membership application today.
